Elton John and Lily Allen Clash at GQ Awards Show

On September 2, 2008, Elton John and Lily Allen co-hosted the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London, not without incident. A champagne-sipping Allen drank on stage all night, becoming visibly inebriated and appearing to be a caricature of the young and famous.
At one point, when Sir Elton joined Allen on stage to present Inspiration Award to Tony Bennett, Allen took a sip from her glass and began the segment, at which time Elton John quipped, “Are you going to have another drink?” Read more
Chris Cornell’s 3rd Solo Album To Be Released October 14th

On October 14th, Chris Cornell will try to prove that the third time is a charm with the release of his third solo album, Scream. Cornell fronted the band Soundgarden, a pioneering group in the grunge scene, until they broke up in 1996. In 1997, he went on to front Audioslave with former members of Rage Against the Machine until the band broke up in 2007. Read more
AC/DC Releases New Album: Black Ice

Black Ice, AC/DC’s much anticipating latest album, will be released by Columbia on October 20th. Following the way of such acts as country artist, Garth Brooks and rock artists, The Eagles and Journey, Black Ice will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club retail and online stores, and at the bands website. Black Ice is the first release from AC/DC since Stiff Upper Lip in 2000. They teamed up with producer Brendan O’Brien for this 15 track album. Read more
Metallica - Live Radio Show Announcement - Sept. 4th

Coming live at 6 PM PST from Metallica’s headquarters in San Rafael, California, Metallica will be playing some of the tracks from Death Magnetic and hanging out on air with Metallica fans like Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins.

Slipknot Releases 4th Album: All Hope Is Gone

On August 26th, Des Moines, Iowa’s Slipknot released their fourth album on Roadrunner Records titled All Hope is Gone. It was produced with the help of Dave Fortman of Ugly Kid Joe. Fortman has also produced albums for Evanescence, Mudvayne, Simple Plan, and Superjoint Ritual.
This is the first album from Slipnot since 2004’s Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses, written and recorded with legendary producer, Rick Rubin. Read more

Having formed eight years ago, Lloyd Dobler Effect’s path has taken them on a whirlwind journey of show after show, performing over 1,400 shows in 39 states and 14 countries. Having just finished their third Armed Forces Entertainment Tour, being named Boru Vodka’s Defend the Bar Band winner, and currently touring nationally in the United States, the Lloyd Dobler Effect may just be onto something. No Rest For Buck Cherry

Now that Buck Cherry’s stint on Crue Fest is winding down, they have announced that they will be co-headlining a fall tour with Avenged Sevenfold. Their time on Crue Fest, which featured Papa Roach, Trapt, Sixx, and headlined my Motley Crue will come to an end on August 31st.
Buckcherry, the band best known for their songs “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry” , will rest for two weeks before touring with Avenged begins September 16th in Moline, Il. September 16th is also the day that their new album and fourth studio release, Black Butterfly, will drop. Read more
